Wheelchair spaces available in the Sidlow, Fintry, and Pentland Auditoria, and wheelchair ramps can be provided.

Both main entrances have automatic sliding doors which are accessible to wheelchair users, and all areas of the venue can be reached via lifts, all of which have spoken messages to indicate which floor the lift is on and whether doors are opening or closing.

Accessible parking spaces are available in Sheraton Hotel Car Park, Semple Street Car Park, and Castle Terrace NCP Car Park.

Getting To The Edinburgh International Conference Centre

Air Travel

The EICC is only 10 km (6 miles) from Edinburgh International Airport, which offers direct flights to many major cities across Europe.

A taxi from the airport to the EICC takes around 20 minutes and costs approximately £15. Tram and bus services also run regularly connecting Edinburgh Airport and Haymarket Railway Station, which is within walking distance of the venue.

Train Travel

The EICC is just a 22 minute (1.3 miles) walk from Waverley Railway Station which is Edinburgh’s primary train station and has direct routes to many cities in the UK, including London.

Haymarket Railway Station is also just a 9-minute walk (0.4 miles) from the EICC is a stop for local commuter trains and some UK routes.

Travel by Car

If you’re traveling by car, you’ll be pleased to know that the EICC is well connected by road.

The M8 provides access to the city from Glasgow to the West, though access from the South is mostly on A roads.

Traffic should be expected in and around the city centre.

Local Travel

Edinburgh trams run frequently between the airport and York Place calling at Haymarket Station, which is a short walk from the venue.

The EICC is also easily accessible by bus. A number of local bus routes stop off at nearby locations and the venue itself is just a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh’s main bus terminal located at St Andrew's Square.

Parking in Edinburgh is notoriously difficult. However, parking is available near the venue at:

  • NCP Edinburgh Castle Terrace
  • Sheraton Hotel Car Park, 150 meters from the EICC, with limited accessible parking spaces.
  • Semple Street Car Park, 300 meters from the venue.
