Full accessibility—all staff have received full Equality and Diversity training. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome. Accessible toilets on each floor. Induction loops are available in the Pentland Auditorium. Wheelchair spaces available in the Sidlow, Fintry, and Pentland Auditoria, and wheelchair ramps can be provided. Both main entrances have automatic sliding doors which are accessible to wheelchair users, and all areas of the venue can be reached via lifts, all of which have spoken messages to indicate which floor the lift is on and whether doors are opening or closing. Accessible parking spaces are available in Sheraton Hotel Car Park, Semple Street Car Park, and Castle Terrace NCP Car Park. Information can be requested in Braille. The EICC is only 10 km (6 miles) from Edinburgh International Airport, which offers direct flights to many major cities across Europe. A taxi from the airport to the EICC takes around 20 minutes and costs approximately £15. Tram and bus services also run regularly connecting Edinburgh Airport and Haymarket Railway Station, which is within walking distance of the venue. |
Train Travel |
The EICC is just a 22 minute (1.3 miles) walk from Waverley Railway Station which is Edinburgh’s primary train station and has direct routes to many cities in the UK, including London. Haymarket Railway Station is also just a 9-minute walk (0.4 miles) from the EICC is a stop for local commuter trains and some UK routes. |
