There are four airports within an hour’s drive (subject to traffic):
A little further afield you will also find Stansted (1 hour and 8 minutes). You can easily reach central London from all of these airports using public transport too, so for international visitors, the QEII Centre really is easy to reach. |

Travel by Car |
Traveling by car within London is rarely necessary thanks to the excellent Underground and other public transport links. It also comes with a traffic warning. As with many major cities, traffic can significantly increase journey times. If, however, you’re coming from outside the city by car, you’ll benefit from the fact that London is very (and unsurprisingly!) well connected by motorway with the M1, M2, M3 M4, M11, M20, M23, M25, and M40 all heading near or into the capital. Do also be aware of toll zones within the city. |
Local Travel and Underground Stations |
The QEII Centre is easily accessible by Tube. You’ll find St James’ Park underground station a 6 minute walk away, Westminster Station just 4 minutes on foot and Victoria Station a little further afield (about a 16 minute walk away). A number of bus routes also service Westminster, making local transport very widely available here. |
Nearby Parking |
Q-Park Westminster is a 7-minute walk from the QEII center. It can accommodate both cars and vans, but spaces can be limited. Parking can be booked in advance. |
